With another working bee coming up soon, I thought it was time to inspire us all (not that we need inspiration!) with some more photos.
These track our achievements since the first raised beds were set up in late September.
If you click on one picture, it will start a slideshow.
The Bankstown troops were brought in to help with the brickwork.
Hard at work planting out all our seedlings – chillies, beans, peas, strawberries, borage, basil and tomatoes in the back bed; cucumbers, zucchinis, oregano and capsicums in the front bed – plus more strawbs and basil.
Sherelle was a powerhouse finishing off the brickwork.
Hooray for Carlos, for uprooting this pesky bit of tree – making way for our new beds.
Time for a drink.
Smiles of satisfaction at the end of our working bee, planting out the bigger raised beds and assembling the small new ones.
A few weeks later, everything’s coming along nicely.
Thanks to the massive storm, we had a few branches on teh ground that made a perfect tripod for our cucumbers to climb.
Cucumbers on the way.
A very special container for the lime tree.
